Hello smoo_,
I am not a Linux guru, but you might get advice from those who are if you describe your system in greater detail. All you have said is that you are running BOINC 5.10.45 on Linux 2.6.24-19. You are having problems that other Linux users are not reporting. (They may have the same problem but just not report it.)
