Blizzie returned their 6,000th result Ha ha, I see I'm sporting a new Beta badge. I didn't think I was that close. Some momentum building at BC for a new trek. It's warming up here and I took the P4's down for the summer. Going to send them to Antartica for the summer so they can cool down. Cheers all ... ![]() I'm realising just how inefficient p4s are. My quad returns 8X the results of my P4 and doesn't use that much more power. |

I'm realising just how inefficient p4s are. My quad returns 8X the results of my P4 and doesn't use that much more power. They use a lot of time and electricty to do a WU here. I mostly use them for BC and challenges. They get more BOINC credits/unit of run time at POEM. Back to mowing the corrals ... waist deep grass ... slow going and boring! ![]() ![]() |

It's now our media server in our living room and does a great job at that. But keeping it on 24/7 for two **** results per day is just silly. After all, what good does it do to cure cancer while we waste electricity! There's an even more amusing irony for those who use P4s to crunch for African Climate! edited for inappropriate language...CIH [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 5, 2008 12:05:40 PM] |

note to all interested parties: it is impossible to make overclocking interesting to women.

note to all interested parties: it is impossible to make overclocking interesting to women. Jonathan, you just have to bemoan the fact that men can be "overclocked" like computers can. You may not get to discuss the computer aspects of overclocking but you will get her attention and have quite a discussion! ![]() |

if only overclocking a pc (or tuning a car) was as easy as taking a little blue pill with a Jack Daniels chaser!
