All this was for a friend of mine, on his new machine powered by an Intel Conroe new overclocked Q9300 Quad core Penryn.
----------------------------------------IT seems that he activated "SECURE CONNECTIONS FILTER" in Kaspersky Antivirus\Firewall and BOINC couldnt download any tasks. Another solution flies to the library . . .  He told me that all seems OK now, although sometimes it runs 4 or 5 task and sometimes only 1 task, none of these make sense but as long as it contributes to the cause we're happy.  Thank you all Dudes.
