Hello bzsmith,

Dater 5 Dec 2005:
Anyway, Internal Error xxxx is an Installshield or Windows Installer error. Make sure you are up to date on MSIExec.exe through Windows Update. The latest available version is 3.1

OK, Internal Error 2753 is an Installshield error. It is Installshield its way of telling you it could not install to the directory chosen as something was in there that it could not remove or overwrite (no permission).

Re: help

Hello bzsmith,
Now that you have downloaded 4 work units, you should have some messages in the Messages tab of BOINC Manager. Please use the Select command on the left margin to paste them here.

Re: help

(That was the same message as the one before)
Maybe it's working, but it's hard to tell without more info.

I'll assume nothing.
Vista has special considerations not needed in WinXP.

See the FAQ.

https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=12856

One must install BOINC (5.10.45 is the best for Windows) and then tools/attach the project to http://worldcommunitygrid.org

Re: help

Let It Run if the Tasks tab lists these jobs shown in the 2 last message lines (below) and they are counting up CPU time with an increasing progress percentage.
