Hi,
First post here... so be kind  I have access to a couple of work machines that are imaged, so wont accept the BOINC client, but can run the UD client OK. Is there anywhere to download it from? I'm sure i'll have an installer at home, but not sure on which backup disk where. Does anywhere still host it for download? Ta muchly! |

The UD Client is being phased out, since new projects are not being given to it. We're not encouraging new computers to use it.

UD is being terminated in a couple of months so I would not bother....

If you are authorized to administer these machines you might get ideas on how to install and run Boinc on imaged machines in the Boinc Mass Install document Otherwise you are left with trying to convince the owner to install WCG on their machines or to become a partner. I read through the document, but it appears the section I need, 2.3, appears to have been left incomplete. Can BOINC be installed on systems that are completely re-imaged frequently? I have about 60 systems, and I would like to participate, but I am not going top spend an inordinate amount of time to accomplish this.

Yes, noticed before that things do not perfectly flow, but if your search the PDF on Deep Freeze, you find section 5 actually covering the daily reimaging. Not covered in there it seems is also how to push any completed results back before the daily events. You might want to send a mail to support@worldcommunitygrid.org as they will help you roll out.
