Besides the heat issue, I am not aware of any PS with two 24 pin ATX motherboard connectors. Right. But I've seen a sort of a splitter cable. It has one 24-pin ATX connector on one side that will be connected to the psu and two 24-pin ATX connectors on the other side for two mainboards.  |

It has one 24-pin ATX connector on one side that will be connected to the psu and two 24-pin ATX connectors on the other side for two mainboards. If you can even do that, your PS must be strong enough to power two motherboards and their video cards. IMHO, the video card consideration should be taken with the utmost care in terms of power draw and under what type of use. The PS should have a Gold, Titanium or Platinum rating to ensure every watt is being accounted as this could be a strain on the unit. Try to map out how this entire configuration would work, cooling and air flow issues, and if the PS can handle the total output. |

Doneske, that is awesome. As far as I remember there is no option to set the time for a challenge. So I suppose it is always 00:00 UTC, but I think JC will proof that or correct me. OK..For me that will be 19:00 local time on the 27th. I need to start planning this out as I'm currently doing UGM trying to get the 100 year badge but since this is a results challenge, I probably move back to OET and work on getting that 100 year badge. I'll probably start creating the bunker on the 25th. If I get the 100 years (only need about 9 more) before the challenge ends. I'll move to Zika for the remainder of the challenge. That will probably produce the most results. |

PSU wouldn't be a problem, I could use a 1000w one, I've seen the 24-pin ATX splitter cable and an ATX/EPS splitter to supply the motherboards, done a little searching and it seems that it's more than just providing power, there are (apparently) signals sent back and forth so it's not as straight forward as I imagined it might be. Pity really because i have a couple of cases that are easily big enough to fit E-ATX and Micro ATX in one but with all the requirements I might as well just use a second PSU, one of my cases does have space for two PSU's, would have liked to avoid using two though - bah. So many of you have passed milestones recently like Total Run Time. Amazing really. Wish I had the time today to list those stats. Also, we have yet another Co-Captain that is going to surpass an incredible Results Returned stat. I do wish we can find a flag app like the one Seti-Germany had made. All the Badges in this Team thread are truly awesome. Even though many of our Co-Captains do not post much, those Badges that they earned speak incredible volumes!
