I was wondering why my results have been tanking. I noticed one of my boinc clients wasnt picking up tasks. GASP. Still about a week and a day to go before next paycheck and then hopefully more silicon to fire up!

Zephyrspark - And I thought you were conceding defeat and kneeling before the awesome might of my dual core processors. Which unfortunately don't even put out enough heat to warm up my den. How I miss my old 19 inch CRT – even though it took up half of my desk. Currently spending about $10 a day using conventional electric heat to warm this place. Yikes – need more computers.

World Community Grid will be performing a network equipment upgrade starting Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 03:00:00 UTC. The window for this maintenance activity is estimated to be 8 hours, although we anticipate the actual outage time will be less. During this network equipment upgrade, the website may be completely unavailable at times. In addition, volunteer devices may not be able to fetch new research tasks or return completed work for a period of time. ----------------------------------------Does *anyone* really know if it is necessary to dl the MS update Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 for Windows 7 x64-based Systems (KB2901983)?? As you know, some 'important updates' are not really important if you do not have apps or products that need certain so-called updates. Searching for answers at MS Support is a mixed bag. Support at well-known MS-related websites pretty much have stated what I just did. Most of those websites continually complain more and more about Windows updates keep getting HIGE and how they intend to migrate to another platform anyways. LOL! Well, wjhen theyy offered me to take a quick survey the first time I declined to update this, they asked e if I would take a very quick survey and I simply posted that I was really tired of Windoze and was going to take a look at some of the new Apple - MacBook Air stuff.  Download size: 52.4 MB You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.
