Wow!(FYI: 38th in Points Generated and 44th in Results Returned at yesterday's last update) Hola, Co-Captains (fellow Team Mates)! One of our top crunchers has left our Team. Unfortunatly, when small teams lose a 'Top Gun", that pretty much takes the fun out of it. I remember the last 9+ years when our "friendly rival Teams" dropped off the radar. Sad but true. It happens in this "distributive computing world" quite often and that is the part I don't like. Given that, I would like to thank Doneske for his time and great effort in crunching with us! No doubt, 'Hall of Famer'; tough to lose someone like that! I need to make some changes (about me). I am not going to have the violin play in the background while I post this. Tough two years for me, I mean really tough (yes, there are many people who can state that as well (at the very least). I have made posts about time, etc and other useless statements, and for that I do apologize. I also wouldn't mind if somebody else took over as "Cheerleader (Captain). I still will crunch when I can. Hey Johnny, hope things aren't going too bad for you. Try to find the silver lining, definitely helps out in rough times. I can take over doing stats and such as time permits if you need some work taken off your plate. I can't promise daily updates, but I am on enough that I can probably do most days. Anyway, my thoughts are definitely with you. Take whatever time you need. LOL! The funny thing is that I always try to find the 'silver lining'. Too bad it is not reflected in my posts online. In my field, I often here from despondent candidates looking for an IT positiion (Sr SW Development, Sr Database Architect, etc, in what is called the 'Large Enterprise". I simply tell folks (anybody, friends, and so on) who are exasperated or troubled by many issues like the economy, other issues several things: Keep you sense of humor/humour. It will help you tremendously in just about everything. The things that you cannot control, do not worry about them; it's like 'dust' clouding your mind. The things you *can* control, get those done as quickly as you can; naturally, do those the *very best* way that you can. For example, the tasks that I have that I am not crazy about doing, I do those first and then the next; that way I feel much better and it's time for a relaxing drink while I watch a good sporting event on the the Sat TV.  It's all what you make of it. As for you hepling with stats, that (honestly) is/was the last thing I needed help with. Basically, it was a 'quiet' way of blowing steam when a company or whatever failed to do the right thing. Actually, I always have a 'Plan B' when those issues arise. I thing TMI is a bad thing to post anywhere online and I don't do it. well, I try here as best as I can. I'm OK! Thanks for the offer, but I can handle the small stuff.
