No good answer on the problem why Boinc is stalling 48-52 hours of completed work units a day (this happens seveal times per week, I actually have screen shots of those. I received an answer that sounded like I had the nerve to have stepped on the King's lawn ...

I received an answer that sounded like I had the nerve to have stepped on the King's lawn This is why the system is down to address these issues that have befallen WCG. Once this patch/upgrade has been completed, this should remedy itself. |

However, those WU's with wingmen. generally speaking as I have found over time, a larger cache size should/may result in a smaller PV file. Results tend to vary from project to project. As an example, HPF2 WU's are usually validated within 3-4 days (depending upon WU's specific run time). If you wanted a very small PV for crunching only HPF2 projects, then keep the cache size at 4+ days. Please note that cache sizes and reporting of WU's greater than four days may hinder your ability to receive "repair" work units for any project. |

However, those WU's with wingmen. generally speaking as I have found over time, a larger cache size should/may result in a smaller PV file. Results tend to vary from project to project. Ray, I think I understand you (the bit about wingmen). The Boinc direstory sure gets fragmentation quite a bit and I am fortunate to have Diskeeper 11 Pro (set and forget it).
