Yes, the bunny approachith.  So I need the 22 or the 20 gauge for bunny stew? LOL Just think. Right now they have partners of WCG, what if I talked to some place like TigerDirect.com about a special sale for upgrading machines. They are already into heart disease and breast cancer research, they could just pass a promo code in the racing threads. Could get things hopping. Hey pal!
Downloaded the beta version of WCG BOINC. I think this is a very positive move on WCG's part.Haven't rcvd an HCC unit yet, but my eabacus is running 25% cooler and 30% faster ( avg. CPU throughput ) just with HPF2 running! I can't wait for an HCC unit!!! Bunny race, huh?? Ever thought of differing divisions, like single cores being Formula 1, Duals being NASCAR, and Quads being either Indy, or Le Mans. Indy has great speed, but Le Mans has endurance....  |

oh, my involvement with the bunny race is just to promote it. This should test how those wishing to contribute to the threads revolving around the challenge system play out.
----------------------------------------The league system I have will come from this and past WCG Sports races. There, the class breakdown and combined competitions will start. It looks like 4 classes across 12 races. 3 sets of 4 races each is staggered by a few days to keep the play fluid and non-ending until the league resets. If something special comes up, then I run a spotlight race just for that. What WCG Sports really is, is a league admin to allow for use of the closed challenge system. What I do is try to find teams that race well together. Then run a thread about it. |

Bit confused 7cures - as far as I'm aware there is no beta version of the WCG BOINC client - the only current one available via the WCG Homepage is 5.10.30 which is not beta..............there are betas available via the Boinc developers at Boinc Berkeley (current beta 5.10.42) but these have nothing directly to do with WCG, although theres nothing wrong with using them as long as your aware that development versions can sometimes cause problems. I am using 5.10.39 64bit (beta) on my server machine and its seems fine  |

Im about to rebuild a machine or 2 here. They both have older versions of boinc. If there is a difference, I should see it when the stats after the rebuild have time to settle.

Oh, had me worried! I want to keep your bunnies hopping.
---------------------------------------- The race is just days away! There are over 100 teams racing this time. But if we do our best, we can pull a top 10 spot. I will have a few machines coming, but Taarna (my new Q6600) does more the 2x all my other machines combined. Plus I am building a system for Patton and ISIS says he will be back up on the 8th. So I can see clear to getting 20K more points shortly after the first. This really means that if you plan to do something with your machines, do it now. WooT! 900 posts for me! GOOOOOOOOOOOOO TEAM! |
