Yes, it was weird. I had to turn off the power to the building for a few minutes. The breaker was getting hot, so was flipping it out when I heard an erie quiet coming from my computers. I took a moment to notice because it happens so rarely.

We will soon begin the beta test for a new version of Help Conquer Cancer on Windows. We were able to address the page fault issue in this version, and we're hoping that this will reduce the number of page faults and inconsistent credits granted in order to address members' concerns about the project. nelsoc, Feb 18 Maybe I should go hang out in the Team Christians thread. Hey, I remember the 4004 and the Altair 8800. People tell me that video games are addictive. I know they are not. Just look at me, Ive been playing mechwarrior for almost 20 years and I'm not hooked. Im not hooked, I'm Not! Those hadn't even been imagined yet when I started. I used to play Star Trek on the tube based HP 2000...it plotted everything on paper, no video was available yet. I remember when Pong came out at the Arcade. People would stand in line and fight to play it. I preferred pinball, still do...LOL    |

When I was 16, I worked in a public access computer center, running star trek and star trader for pay.... 4 nights a week during that summer. My average take was 20 bucks. The house got 10 to keep the PDP-8 in paper tape and the wear and tear on the 2 ASR-33 teletypes. Yes, life was good.

I've been computing in one form or another since 1969. I was 4 when you started computing. LOL, I was just a pup myself. I didn't have my drivers license yet... I had to go through interviews with the Principal, the Dean, Counselor and the Teacher to get into that class. I was the only freshman they let in. We has 250 graduating in my class, 10 per semester were in the computer class. I think being valedictorian of my 8th grade class helped...I'm glad typing wasn't required as a prerequisite, even now I am a 2finger typist. But ol' 2finger doesn't mind! LOL |
