I thought you were going to typewriter repair school? PASSED.  Now part 2 on Tuesday. I heard it's easier.  Then I'm certified.  When you get old like me, you're just certifiable! Hey Blizzie, do you know any sites that sell barebones kits that are assembled in part (i.e. motherboard installed, cpu installed, fans installed) but missing components such as hdds and graphics cards?

Anyone heard anything about that PlanetQuest project? Is it out yet? Everything I can find is scattered at best but it sounds pretty interesting.

----------------------------------------PlanetQuest was organized in 2000. The last news I heard about it was back in 2005. It is still listed as an 'upcoming' project rather than an 'active' project at http://distributedcomputing.info/upcoming.html With all the rapid changes that have occurred in extra-solar planetary astronomy since 2000, I expect that it is moribund [wrong - see below]. The field is rapidly changing. Lawrence More research: Here is what Google shows at http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=6872&nowrap=true#704108 25 Jan 2008 19:53:08 UTC I applied for the NASA Kepler Science Team and included PlanetQuest as the educational component of the proposal. I proposed to find planets in the multiple star systems that Kepler observes and won the proposal. So, there will be NASA Kepler spacecraft data in the PlanetQuest Collaboratory (we'll divvy it up evenly) to look for planets in. What is amazing about these data is that the precision will be 100 times anything achieved on Earth -- that is, the detection of Earth-sized planets around Sunlike stars will be possible.
