It's a technicality only. It should be back soon.
As for the rest: developing a fully featured widget is quite challenging. I think WCG are hoping we will start the ball rolling, using the capabilities they have provided. |

Resurrecting an old thread, (I didn't see any need to start a new one) it has been 8 months or more but the widget is still iframe based :(

Actually there is a dynamic image in the making that can be put anywhere. Think it was mentioned on the public side, but if it was not, now it is for sure

Do widgets have any impact on server load? Would this change with new types or styles of widgets?

Err... "real" widgets are constructed from XML, Javascript and CSS. They often use iframes for convenience. Stats images are just stats images. Bindun. If you want one, use one of the many existing generators. Another query, although do hope astrolab's query gets also answered as well. I would like to know which existing generators is he talking about? A point where there is a list of such generators (if there is such a thing) would be nice as well. |

I would like to know which existing generators is he talking about? Look at the post just above yours and you will see one of the most famous and serious one. Today they have moved and reorganized their hardware, so maybe this is not the best day to try them, although it seems that they are finished. Cheers. Jean. |
