Did some quick looking for possible candidates for one on one team challenges - points-wise that is. It's a bit tough finding a team that is a good match. Not many have a thread here, then there's figuring out if it would be a fair match. Some teams have a widely varying output. Here's my short list: Christians The Edwardians BOINC@AUSTRALIA Teddies ___In2My.Net___ Christians would be a stretch for us. Edwardians look to be the best match. We might be a bit of a stretch for In2My.Net but they're an active team and, after all, neither us nor the other team would really lose. A big question would be how long to run the challenge? Two weeks, four weeks, longer? Your thoughts?I'd vote for The Edwardians and In2MyNet ... it would be fun to give courine a hard time. I think a month is best but for no particular reason. It looks like a 3-4 hour break in the rain until one more storm. "Mostly Cloudy" tomorrow. Perhaps things will dry out tomorrow and I can get outside. I still have wood to split. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Dataman at Jan 9, 2008 2:21:03 AM] |

I would say around 3 weeks for challenges would be nice. It depends on the team we're facing. If it's a close competition, then it'll be fun. If it's roadkill by one team then.. that's not much of a challenge is it. Winds picking up to 15 MPH here. At least it won't be as bad as last time. Hehe. ![]() |

I'd say we wait to see total points for January, and then go about for a goal at the end of the month; so we have a general idea. OK by me. I would say around 3 weeks for challenges would be nice. It depends on the team we're facing. If it's a close competition, then it'll be fun. If it's roadkill by one team then.. that's not much of a challenge is it. That why I picked The Edwardians and In2MyNet (courine would provide some sport and they picked up 2 members lately. More than I can say for us. ) Winds picking up to 15 MPH here. At least it won't be as bad as last time. Hehe. ![]() Over now ... less wind but more rain here. Lots of snow just up the road though. "Mostly Cloudy" looks promising for here tomorrow. ![]() ![]() |

I think we must have had a major sweep that filled up the PV jail to over flowing. It seems almost everyone is off today on points. We seem to be coming in on the underside of 200K instead of the upperside lately as well. Hmm, maybe we'll see a nice bump soon from the "Great Escape"!
