If you do need a fast enough machine to process the big AC@H WUs it is not what matters more for receiving some.

First, since the returned results are really big you need a really high upload throughput between your machine and the WCG servers. Downloaded material is big too, but less than the uploaded files, and this is less critical since high download thoughputs are more common nowadays.

Even if some of your machines meet these criteria they will still not be eligible for being sent AC@H work if you have set them to run with a queue of many days of workload. This is because the deadline for AC@H is five days only and results of one cycle of work are needed for preparing the input of the next cycle, therefore your machine's return time is key.

Last, since there are only 820 WUs per cycle and many more members like you who wish to receive some AC@H work the servers are in the very comfortable position where they can choose the best clients based on all the above criteria. Therefore even if a machine could be good for this job it might not receive anything if there are too many other machines which are better. I am sure that you have already seen similar situations in other circumstances of life...

When it rains, it pours...
I just got 12 work units spread across the 2 dozen or so PCs I'm monitoring with boincview.

edit: 14 now running...

I've just seen one unit since the begining of that project.
As there not a lot of unit sent per day, what would be kind is that members who have allready got ACH badge get read of ACH from there favorite projects to let more chance to the others to get the badge too.
