Good Morning Base Campers
----------------------------------------News None. Vox Pop Clarification: A Base Camper does not have to be teamless by - all that is needed is a certain degree of curiousity and a desire to go places. With that illumination, we repeat yesterday's Vox Pop: We at Base Camp should like to know why we cannot attract New Base Campers. As the WCG Forum consists of considerably more there ought to be the possibility of a descent feed back. Our question is: Why don't you join Base Camp? Among the respondents we shall draw one person to win our first and only prize: A full, free imaginary set of Trekking equipment - rugged tent, sleeping bag, boot and rucksack - and for good measure we throw in a flashlight as well ... only on July 11, 2011, mind you We look forward to hearing your opinions, Ladies and Gentlemen. Culture Music Let's start off with two bonus songs - a Dame Shirley Bassey one that bjbdbest played for us Get the Party Started - in return for the Willie Nelson one we played for her Always on My Mind One beautiful piece of music is written by Danish Carl Nielsen Tågen letter/The Fog Lifts Some suffer from the misconception that the Vikings were "cruel, heartless, Scandinavian marauders whose savage brutality earned them the reputation: Worst human beings - a statement effectively countered by some Swedish cook - please note that the opening music is The Fog Lifts as to underline the gentleness of these funloving charmers: In the Navy - and now I think some of us could do with some romantic music. Off Beatles Peter and Gordon perform: I Go to Pieces EDIT: Quite a few mistakes and some, well, plain nonsense ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 11, 2011 4:05:20 PM] |

What does that mean in English?
- I take it the business wants to convey some English message - positive one - which, of course, the Spanish meaning could also be ![]() |

den Quixote, this cold reduces normal rpm of my brain immensely.
![]() ![]() Would you mind expand in spelling, cut out in cardboard, bend in neon, sketch, write in the sand, sing and hum - and do it real slow - on what the above means, please? What did mizz ghostie spot? Good Afternoon Base Campers Op-Ed The Euro and especially Greece are in dire straits. After having talked up the chillingly serious situation for months on end, the truth is knocking on Euroland's door. Everybody seems to borrow beyond their capacity to pay back. Even Germany borrows. Where does the money go? Some must have had it in order to lend? - or what? Now, the risk of Greece having to default on some of her sovereign debt is scarily close. How did it come so far? Well, in all their superiority the EU politicians and especially the Eurozone ones regarded themselves halfgods and thought that if a D-mark was married to a Drachme the result would be a perfect Euro baby ... They live in a world of their own never bothering to look at politically incorrect realities ... Vox Pop Nothing came from it. No reactions. I think I know what the problem is myself. Base Camp was made to Trek - our boots are made for hiking - our tents to be pitched, our rucksacks to be stuffed with the very few essentials. We should go places. Who would want to join Base Campers who prefer to sleep in canopy beds all the time? Culture Music The least we can do is to play some Greek music - not everything is a tragedy there. Nana Mouskuri with her silvery voice puzzled people wearing her glasses with pride White Rose of Athens Did you ever see "Zorba the Greek" starring Anthony Quinn as the passionate man who lives intensely, enjoys life here and now and even manages to spread his philosophy to the buttoned-up Brit? Zorba's Dance Melina Mercouri played a happy easy but highly respected girl of the port city of Piraeus with much sweetness and went on to become Minister for Culture in Greece Never on a Sunday No day without dealing with the intricacies of love It's My Party and I Cry if I Want to Advertisement Cancelled - decided the money is better spent on Gin & Tonic ![]() |

She pointed
(well, excuse me my hard-at-understanding-state-of-mind - noone is sorrier than myself) to an apostrophe as in CAJONE'S? And how would that be better - lacking one? And where did she point that out? I haven't seen any post here - and, yes, I'm confused. Very! This doesn't make me less confused: WikiAnswers: "cajones (with an 'a') means drawers. cojones (with an 'o') is a vulgar term for balls/testicles. hope that helps :)" - seems as if we might have gone too far in our adolescent giggling ![]() |
