Sometimes I wonder about the stats. I replaced an 8 core machine with a 24 core and all my stats dropped. How can I return more results and not see an increase in my contribution charts? ![]() Hello acpartsman, I don"t know if you fix the problem, but it may be you need more rams running MIP needs 650 Mb rams times 24 equals 15.6 GB plus win 7 and 10 needs 1 GB for 32 bit and 2 GB for 64bits. So you may need 17 GB for 32 bits and 18GB for 64 bits. Mapping Cancer needs 400 MB times 24 = 9.6 GB plus 1/2GB for windows. All other projects need 250 times 24 = 6 GB plus 1/2 GB. If you are running Linux it will be based on distros version (Arch, Debian etc) these are the minimum amount of rams. I hope this helps Under full load I am of course using 100% of CPU but only 59% of RAM. I can have one or more 24 core machines drop out (power outage for example) and my stats hardly drop but I can lose an old quad core and they fall like rock. Makes no sense. It's almost like the points are controlled by power consumption rather than results. Are all PCs running the same project workunits? |

Sgt Joe, I hope you stay warm with this deep freeze. In Ohio, we will get it tomorrow.
Not as bad as you have it. Stay safe! |

Chez mes parents ce matin. J'adore quand personne n'a marché sur la neige comme là.
At my parents' house this morning. I love it when no one has walked on snow like that. ![]() |

Thank you for taking this picture before anyone had the chance to make messy footprints - it's beautiful |

acpartsman, I really think you should bring your observations WCG-forum-wide in a new thread where far more of all the savvy crunchers of WCG will read it I intend to as soon as I can get more than 5 minutes on here. ![]()

I tried to screenshot the stats page but it didn't work.

No snow here, but I had to get off the phone with my brother because he had 5" or so to deal with.

BladeD, do we talk your brother in Minnesota?
acpartsman, I still think you should open a separate thread so that as many as possible IT gurus can ponder what may take place - and the management as well. Not everybody reads here .... Good Morning Base Campers! Business Well, well, well … some pretty music cannot harm .... Chit-chat Went to the University of Copenhagen today to listen to a meeting about Cheating and Democracy - also dealing with whistleblowers who are not very well protected in my country as opposed to the USA. Today Transparency International published its 2018 index. Denmark came in as #1 because New Zealand slid from yesteryear's #1. Yes, I know it breaks the posting body, but it's important in my mind. ![]() |

Must be a memory lapse, BladeD. I remember three states with 'M' ....
Good Morning Base Campers! Business Well, well, well ..... Chit-chat Just ordered tickets for 'Green Book' next week .... Against my instinct a caved in to joining a bonus program with the cinema - one I long avoided from fear that it would complicate my simple life And it did. I could enter the bonus number of my old classmate and the points would be credited to either account on a this-one-here/that-one-there basis - only I could not enter that bonus number and felt the need so mail the cinema to ask why? I should never have sold myself and my principle for a small tub of popcorn ![]() |
