To be honest, I find the rules of the Athena Trophy 2019 too complicated for me to understand.
For me personally, it goes against my grain.
It also goes against my idea of Base Camp.
I cannot be tied down with one team.
I do not understand pools.
I found what Base Camp did during the THOR Challenge 2018 very entertaining
- and if we broke any rules along the way, I’m sorry
One thing is for sure, Base Camp and a lot of assisting Base Campers helped SNURK win
the #4 spot in Base Camp's Grand Galla SNURK Celebration trek
– very deservedly and practically only beaten by the pay-teams
TLD, you prefer treks of five days,
and I suppose that would exclude you from participating in a trek with ’you-must-stay’-rules.
For that reason alone, I shall not propose we make a Base Camp trek.
If any Base Camper on his own initiative want to join a team for the Athena Trophy 2019 it’s his decision
but Base Camp shall not issue a badge.
What I can do is to abstain from launching any Base Camp treks while that Athena Trophy 2019 race runs.
So, could somebody please let me know during which period of time Base Camp treks should be ’quarantined’?

For the time being I’m with team Kraland.

Now I need to know whether I do Kraland any harm by changing to another team if/when I feel like it
because Kraland needs to be ’frozen’ memberwise for a certain period of time …

Just go on treks to teams that are not in their Athena Trophy 2019 race until the race is over.

Little Mermaid, tu restes avec l'équipe Kraland tant que tu veux. Il faut juste que tu ne passes pas dans une autre équipe inscrite, le temps du challenge. Mais si tu trouves un trek qui n'a rien a voir, aucun soucis.

NixChix, BladeD, si vous voulez cruncher avec la team Kraland, il faut vous inscrire avant le 18 mars. Et on ne fait pas de passe-passe d'une équipe à l'autre. (C'est noté que les SeriousCrunchers doivent être dans le TOP3 du THOR challenge, mais ça sera l'année prochaine).

Là, les règles sont un peu compliquées, mais, ça coûte rien d'essayer ? Des équipes qui se relaient dans un défi, ça peut que faire quelques WU de plus ?

Little Mermaid, you stay with the Kraland team as long as you want. It's just that you do not go to another registered team, the time of the challenge. But if you find a trek that has nothing to do, no worries.

NixChix, BladeD, if you want to crunch with the Kraland team, you have to register before March 18th. And we do not make a pass from one team to another. (Note that the SeriousCrunchers must be in the TOP3 of the THOR challenge, but that will be next year).

It is cold here today's high will be 27 f/-2.8c and low tonight will be 18f/-7.8c. this is after we have warmed up. a few days ago we had a high of 5f/-15c and 5 inch/12.7cm too. I like making skiers soup a vegetable soup that uses bulk sausage for the meat.
