I've got Gonzo in the engine room to see if he can kick the warp drive back on for a bit... I hope he doesn't make too big a mess of things!

The "WCG's Global Daily Records" thread

Exceptional! Monday March 22, 2010 has been a new all-records day!

It does not happen very often. In fact, the last time was on Wednesday December 19, 2007:
All records have been beaten on Monday March 22, 2010!
Congratulations to all active crunchers!

So, here it goes:
The new record for the total of points validated on a single day is ----> 294,940,565 points <----
The previous one was 291,882,442 points points dated March 15, 2010.

The new record for runtime is ----> 334 years and 332 days <----
The previous one was 333 years and 209 days of runtime dated November 2, 2009.

The new record for the number of results validated on a single day is ----> 513,715 results <----
The previous one was 491,286 results dated November 2, 2009.

The new best ever for the seven-consecutive-days indicator is ----> 1,944,204,811 points <----
validated from March 16 to March 22, 2010, i.e. an average 277,743,544 points per day over this period.

And the new best ever thirty-consecutive-days indicator is ----> 8,139,462,269 points <----
validated from February 22 to March 23, 2010, i.e. an average 271,315,408 points per day over this period.
(Yes, March 22 was already a record day at 8,126,297,821 points, but it was improved again on the following day! smile )

Not to take anything away from the incredible dedication and commitment from ALL crunchers but I think we are starting to see some of the huge benefits from the excellent work that was done to reduce the HCC runtime by 50% applause.

In any case these overall accomplishments are a great achievment and cause for celebration and rejoicing for one and all dancing

The new HCC has been moved to production on the 26th only. Anyway it should have an impact only on the number of returned results which might see a big surge (new HCC together with DDDT2 C-type WUs).
Points and runtime will not be affected, but obviously the work behind them will be increased for HCC.

Cheers. Jean.

The number of WUs has already been beaten yesterday (552,786) but I will watch it a few more days before making an "official" post. smile

In relation to this number of WUs and the return frequency graph, I like calculating how many results are returned per second. The previous high we just recorded was 5.95 results/second. With this tentative record above, we hit 6.40 results/second.

Have another look at that chart again, Col323
