As Alice in Wonderland once said, “Things just keep getting curiouser and curiouser.”  With today’s “bump in the road” for the HCC project and the action taken by WCG, every single one of the HCC WU’s in my PV jail were released. I had a lot of them. The result was a personal best in all categories for me ... a best so big I may never exceed it.  11/16/2007 0:019:20:56:40 22,731 63 Heck for a moment, I thought I was marysduby.   It will be interesting to see how the whole MOTley crew did today.  Results returned for all running DDDT should be up as they are being churned out to fill the void. I wonder what tomorrow will bring? Cheers!  Thanks to Keith's nimble fingers ... THE CONTINUING SAGA OF “ZELDA” - ROBOTS ARE DUMB!! You will love this Dave! This morning while “Zelda” was running, I walked down to the pond to feed the fish like I do every morning. Apparently I left the door to the deck open. When I returned some 20 minutes later, there was Zelda busily, and quite unsuccessfully, attempting to vacuum the Oak leaves and acorns off the deck. It was a little pile of moving leaves with wheels. I think the unit needs an on-board camera. It has already provided more entertainment value than it cost. What’s up with Cedric? You get the new battery? Cheers! That had to be a sight! Wish that you had that on camcorder. Cedric is still short on energy. I never understand Amazon.com. If you order a package of 36 safety pins, it comes UPS. Something heavy like an iRobot battery -- USPS. I hope to see it on Monday as I now have to babysit when he is running so I can get him back on the charger before he runs out. I'm looking forward to having him wake up at night and do it on his own, |

Maybe Dataman is on to something, at least part of it anyway. As everyone can see, we had a rather remarkable day today. Quite a jump in points compared to the usual. We also had a good jump in the number of members returning a result today. Maybe the HCC situation has a bit to do with that but we could quite easily just have had a good day that that made a bit better. Also, welcome back to Charles Chan to our active crunching ranks! Is that the first hints of an oncoming visit by our Base Camper friends??? We are less than 17,000 points from 42,000,000 and on a Friday no less. We basically have six weeks to put thru 8,000,000 points. That is 1.33 million points a week. A million points a week is about 143,000 points a day. We are regularly doing million points weeks now but we need to allow some for a bit of a drop off during next week and the week of Christmas as lots of folks take time off then and have their work machines shut down. I'm hoping we can manage another 5,000,000 points given that over those six weeks. That leaves another 3,000,000 points to make our 50,000,000 goal for the year. Let's do it team!!

Maybe Dataman is on to something, at least part of it anyway. Maybe the HCC situation has a bit to do with that but we could quite easily just have had a good day that that made a bit better. Well, I sampled some teams I follow and the ones that have already reported (e.g Vulture Central) and all of them were up noticeably today. I think it is an anomaly due to the problem ... but a great BD present from the WCG for all. Tomorrow will tell. |
