Re: Sex at work

I don't like this project's graphics, but mainly for aesthetic reasons. The children's quotes are niether moving nor especially inspirational. I mean let's be honest, do you feel particularly inspired by these so-obviously-true-to-the-point-of-annoyance quotes. Furthermore, the statistics are depressing. I'd rather experience positive and optimistic thoughts when seeing the WCG screensaver. There are an infinite number of depressing/shocking statistics out there, why focus on a trivially small set of them for hours on end, day after day?The protein folding animations at least impart a sense of high-tech sophistication that reassures the viewer that progress is being made.

That said, I fully support the goal of defeating Dengue diseases... now only if I can finally get that quad core I've been dreamin' about! :)

Cheers!

Re: Sex at work

The political comments by the schoolchildren are totally irrelevant. We are talking about finding a cure for yellow fever or hepatitis. All that text is irrelevant.
The quality of the graphics is very poor.
Robert

Yes, i mean this also. (Excause my english please.)

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout - Yeah! Quad core power!!

Mine's on order. The graphics svck, the comments are saccharine, but DDDT is worth the effort. Let's at least try to get some graphics standards for future projects. It's not much to ask.

Re: Sex at work

WCG is a hoster of projects, not the owner who wanted something not bog-mill standard. Adults should be mature enough to appreciate that there is a message to tell to the younger generation, that hopefully gets to talk more about crunching for a good cause and tolerance of others.

The cause is immense so I'd say: Get over it, or is it not true that all 3 are now combined: S.e.x. (one of the causes of transmittal, so teach the children!), Drugs (the good ones we can help find), the Rock and Roll (The King lives on and the more quads, the sooner we're done for the part where crunchers can contribute DIRECTLY)

And remember where Apple starting sowing the seed.... tell it at colleges, so in later life it become a normal to contribute wasted cycles.

From the old continent, we bid you a good day.

Re: Sex at work

perhaps the kids would enjoy a large color graphic of bob marley smoking a big fat marijuana cigarette as he sings 'one love' in front of the jamaican rasta flag. smile

The first picture is the best representation of him, as I remember him.
