Hello courine of SF (10 hours time diff),
----------------------------------------DeePeeCee at WeeCeeGee is very proud of the fact that it is meeting and exceeding the wildest cow expectations in this challenge. As preps were extremely short, the notice handed almost under 'cover', still more are trundling in coming to the loud moohing sounds. As it is low frequency noises carrying very far, we expect the herd to grow a bit more from the 136 actively grazing there are @ the WeeCeeGee pastures on August 6. The only thing needed is telling about the rich very green grass that can be found here, which is not seemingly done by our opponents, who are happy to just seek help from the local crowd. By the way, the F1 of DPC crunching joined us and made it to 10th spot in the members daily. That's on the rest-day that Sunday is but never for cows: hail to our über-cow "Henry" at 193k produced on August 5 (to forego gossip, "Henry" has been taking quad supplements). Many not familiar with the optimal settings of Minimum Impact versus Maximum Output needed an anti-slowness jab, so expect for the gears to be switched up a bit more. Over to u courine of SF (in that different time zone). We hope you can afford the long distance collect call :P PS, Operator Operator oh can you tell courine that DeePeeCee started at the day of opening at WeeCeeGee in 2004. Someone had forebodings of things to come. ![]() http://www.janok.net/dreaming_cow.htm

Actually Sek, Team Christians is attempting to recruit new long-term crunchers, rather than temporarily pulling crunchers from other projects, and that has been a slower process than expected. We are thrilled that fellow WCG crunchers are joining in the fun as that helps to improve the overall participation level. Hopefully, some of our seed planting will produce a bumper crop of new crunchers before this challenge is over. |

Thanks oneguy and grats to you... 3x of what the Cs did 1 month ago. Fear though that we took a bit of points in advance.... all of us with the faster FA@H validation. The dip for the coming days, or a lesser dip if we keep on growing the actual crunching is inevitable.
----------------------------------------Now for the anal-ists: 1 week ago 650k was good for spot 9 in dailies. Now 657k is good for spot 12. What does that suggest about these summer holiday trends? Could it be the 'English' weather allowing the CPU's to keep glowing full tilt?

And we are back with live studio coverage of what has been so far a true spectacle of computer power. Nearly 10 million point between both teams and I'm sure that we have just seen the start of what will unfold in the next few laps. The global stats have shot up as much as the pressure for the Christians to pull out a win. So stay tuned, we will be right back.

It looks to me like all those humming CPU's at DPC are making a substantial contribution ... to Global Warming

Actually, modern farming by the Dutch has long focused on the proper diet for it's Power Cows, reducing methane output by over 75% whilst increasing milk production. It's like running Quads that use the same power as an old Pentium, yet 4x more output. As for the methane, you can briefly heat your barn at certain times with that, but only briefly :O
----------------------------------------The new FA@H will be released hopefully today so let's pump up the volume again (and restart the engines for those that only did FA@H)

Local warming however.... (CPUs running at full power in the middle of the summer, lets say: it is quite hot in that room )But just as a precaution: I just moved from Rotterdam (6 meters BELOW sea level) to Utrecht (2 meters ABOVE sea level).
