HOW ON EARTH CAN I BE SURE THAT I AM NOT CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS? Pardon me, but do you think it is THAT hard to make up ANY results of ANY fictious research? I am afraid to risk this risk.
I just cannot stop thinking about this. How difficult do you ALL think it is to disguise a vicious army research as a world-helping one? I see no better way than stating, that everyone will maybe help to find a cure for cancer. |

Well, u called me a troll although u do not know me at all.
I really would love to help, I even started to run the agent. But there is this omnipresent "what if..". If u dont want to try to understand my point, dont do it. But it really concerns me a lot. Am I really so wrong? Maybe u Americans think different from the rest of the world. Believe thinks one would think impossible (a valuable experience for me being Moore's Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11).People on different continents do not share ur opinions (they definitely would not elect "you know who" twice). Did that come to your mind? Or do you still think that Iraq had really weapons of mass destruction? I am not American. I dont live in a country of secret army bases located in deserts, first nukes, boys playing soldiers cause they are too poor not to join the army, 5 secret agencies and daily updated terrorism levels. U Americans are and have been manipulated in a very sophisticated way. And u dont even know it, are not aware of it. Cause if u did, much in the world would be going on in a very different way. Or maybe u do, but act like New Yorkers. Just dont give a ... I had the opportunity to visit ur wonderful country and I have met some wonderful people there, I really did. But ur greatest issue is your powerful and influential government which u cannot influence at all. In case I am wrong, I really dont want to lessen the work of individuals who worked on this project, in case I did, I am terribly sorry. I know, that my arguemnts are chaotical, and maybe directed towards the wrong people. But I am just a simple man looking for an aswer. U want to call me troll? Fine. Hopefully, I am totally wrong and am only harming your grid. |

In the interests of peace and harmony, the least said the better Freedom = Peace Freedom to speak ones mind Freedom to listen with an open mind Freedom to debate opposing views vigorously but with respect Let vampireau be a pessimist. We optimists should not sit silently, but respond with our views. Sure, the world may be a bit messed up but we will all try our best to make it a better place! Promote Freedom, promote discussion and crunch for the better good of humanity! Sorry Graham, but to live in a free and open society everyone gets a chance to voice their opinion and its upto everyone with a different opinion to respond. There is certainly no need for a debate on opposing views to turn into a flame war though, as a free society is a civilized society and we should be treating each other with respect during our discussions. I certainly am a humanist and do not want to harm your project. I simply wanted a short discussion, because I felt I needed to solve this issue that has been bothering the insides of my mind. I wanted to let it out, so I can run the agent again.
Of course I want peace and freedom for everyoneas well, but I am afraid that would put the world in unbalance. In my opinion, nature is always balanced, there is new life and there is death, there are cures because there are diseases. We can only wish for the good things to last a little longer. I apologize for my herecy. |

Any knowledge can be misused. However, I refuse to live life believing that there is some plot to misuse or create new ways of harming ourselves at every turn. At some point you either trust the good of what you read and what you feel or you trust nothing, crawl into the paranoid hole you've dug for yourself and pull it in after you. Can we use our knowledge to ill uses? Most certainly, but it is much more difficult when so many people are involved and are on various committees that make the selection as to what problems will be offered on distributed networks to solve. You would have to believe 100s of people unrelated by jobs or companies or interest are all in this plot to ill use this information. It really comes down to a simple question. Do you believe mankind has its best future yet before it? Or Do you believe mankinds future must end in termination at our own hands? I'm an Optimist, so I gladly compute away with sincere belief that my contribution may help cure one ill or stop one genetic mistake, not to make super people or control the genetic destiny of mankind but to raise us all up, so all of us can use our energies to move to the next level. Our future is ahead, being drawn by our action today and built by our beliefs in tomorrow. |
