Thanks to a little miscount. . . That is a very good question. Maybe it happens whilst in transit in Singapore? . . . I keep counting the [qu0te]s and the [/qu0te]s and have only just managed to make them equal in number.! Fair enough - thanks for the vote of confidence but I am still left wondering; is it the sending or the receiving machine that decides whether the changes in size are visible or not?Hey - is anyone there good at unravelling strings? No they can't, well I can't tell and I think he is pulling the right strings alright. I am all knotted up Oh! Yes they can - He keeps pulling the wrong strings! Perhaps we had better stop nesting! She means the "alter ego" - not the size. Please excuse her spelling - her little wooden fingers can't reach all the keys!b.t.w. I wish the woodpeckers in the garden would stop nesting! Works for me and my puppeteer!but she (the alter ego, not the woodpecker) does get a little ratty when I jerk her strings too sharply! Ha, Alter Ego good sounds good. Bundi has changed my sex - it saves a lot of pronoun confusion. How many of us can change the font size without changing the font or the colour? I would like to know what causes the difference and what cures it.The size control command . . .and the same note of colour and size goes for me too - all the uncoloured parts are the same size and all the blue parts are slightly biggerdoes not work with black type Maybe like the part I have underlined works for others, though for me it is the same size as the rest! The color one doesbut both together seem not. . . No, I'm his alter ego. . . to work for some people, including me, though the color one automatically increases the size! like this?Olivia Oliviathey both work for me, the colour and the size Mr Haldav are you Dr. Bundi's brovver? ![]() ![]() ![]() You are lucky to have an Alter Ego I am thinking of getting one too one would never get lonely, is it obedient?[Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 8, 2008 1:44:19 PM] |

I just received this in an eMail:-
Any photo, video or Photo Story on a myfamily.com site can be embedded elsewhere on the Internet, like on your blog or personal web site. Just click on the 'Embed This...' link and copy the HTML code that appears. Then past it wherever you'd like. You can even embed as a comment on any of your myfamily.com sites. Get Your Embed Codes - it seems that joining myfamily.com makes your contributions available on the internet; you can use your own pictures in your sig, or anywhere else - even send them in eMails. |

Dearest Bundi I don't really know where to post Cecil's photo really I thought that somehow it could fit in with your 'On this Day', but as you have explained it probably would not do anything for your Thread.
I read your entries with much interest as I read a lot and have listened to many (Cecil being but one) telling about the war, especially about Normandy. I love the way you find it in your heart to add humour to much of your writings. Cecil G Harris also inspires me to crunch and pray and hope that cancer can be conquered. I don't quite know how many times he had surgery on his nose: it kept going deeper into his facial bone structure in the end he wore a nasal prosthesis - there wasn't much left of his face which was causing him a lot of pain and discomfort right to the end and yet he was one of the most cheerful and energetic gentleman I had ever known, always thinking of others first. He suffered so much, he must have, yet he never complained. The following was his motto: BE OF GOOD COURAGE . RENDER EVIL TO NO MAN. HOLD FAST TO THAT WHICH IS GOOD AND THE PEACE OF GOD BE WITH YOU. If you want to share photos or other matter that can not be copied because it is only on your own computer, and consequently has no web address, you may be able to put it in a new site, which you can create here:-
----------------------------------------http://www.myfamily.com/start.aspx?sssdmh=dm13.172259 You can put your GEDCOM and family tree here, too. Since 1998, myfamily.com has helped millions of people keep in touch with their family and friends by sharing photos, stories, news, family trees and more on their very own private web site. If you don't already have a family web site, sign up today for FREE. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 16, 2008 10:09:14 AM] |

Thank you very much for that info. Haldav. There is a lot about the internet I have yet to learn. I had no idea one coudn't post someone's photo.
But to take advantage of the link you provided I would need to ask Cecil's Daughter for permission. I told her it was to do with your thread and with Normandy. For the time being I think I'll just let the matter rest. Thank you ever so much for all the help you have given me. I am a fervent reader of 'On This Day'. |

Thank you very much for that info. Haldav. There is a lot about the internet I have yet to learn. I had no idea one coudn't post someone's photo. I am a fervent reader of 'On This Day'. I have not yet tried to post a photo from myfamily. com I am sure it can be done and I intend to try it, using the following method, quoted from there: "How do I add an image to a post? You can add an image to a discussion, comment, or reply by using the following HTML code: <img src="http://site.com/photo.jpg"> Just replace the site.com/photo.jpg text with the URL of the image you want to add. If you want to find the URL for an image on your myfamily.com site, just go to the photo, right click on it and select 'properties'. You'll find it under 'Address (URL)'." If I succeed, I will put the results in my siggy. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 20, 2008 9:06:17 PM] |

Welcome home, JP. Good to have you back
----------------------------------------Hope you are managing to solve your problems. Now, there, Christine, is someone who, given a propitious moment, could solve your problem - I am afraid I have been unable to tackle it. I can understand being unable to move my nephew's pic from my photo page to his own page in my web site but we should be able to copy images from one web site to another. I have done it before - e.g. (like most of us) from an advertising site to a signature file. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 25, 2008 3:12:13 PM] |
