christine1, the trick to find out about a code, in your case wanting to know the way to post images, is to reply with quote as you did to the carrot cake. That reveals the so-called BBcode used. It's simple that [IMG]http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/zifnaboma/Congrats/CONGRA12.gif[/IMG], where the letters in the square brackets should be in small, not case! If you have a picture, simply put the link in a post, highlight the link (select with mouse) and hit that Image button above the text writing area. So for your training, reply with quote button to this post, find the part that is bolded above, change all the IMG to img (in small) and hit Preview word below the text writing. Getting Ufo-ric? Finding the last page is hitting that little icon on the right side of the forum post list next to the member name that looks like There is a post in the Start Here forum how the more easily navigate this place. ttyl I think I did it! Thank you soo much for helping me. ![]() |

One way of trying sek's tip is to select the part between the two [IMG]s (i.e. drag your pointer across it so it turns black). If you click anywhere in this black area, you will see a drop down menu. Click on the word "copy". The text is now (if you want to know) in a file called "default.clp" and will remain there until you want to copy something else. You can now copy it any place or places you like. Just place your marker wherever you want to put it first and hit <Ctrl>+V - this means, "hold down your <Ctrl> key while you type "V"" If you want to see the result, just click on the copy that now appears. If you want to post it for others to see, put back the two [IMG]s in lower case, and don't forget the "turn off" slash. A quick way of replacing the code in a posting is to select what you have just created in the reply box, then click on the word "Image", above the box if it is an image you are copying, and that is that (for an internet link address, you do not need the code). Once you have mastered this, there are all sorts of clever things you can do with code. Without the slash (/), you are turning the code on; with the slash, you are turning it off. Thank you soo much for helping me I really don't know why I am soo confusef here - I think I am growing old ![]() |

You can surround any text you create here with any of these (and a few others) by selecting the bit of text and clicking on the appropriate code title in the above shaded or outlined boxes. I you click on the arrow in one of the outlined boxes, you will get a choice in a drop-down menu.(btw - the "size" one does not work for some people, including me, but the color one automatically increases the size! |
