Time to re-activate this important thread. I do so as I crack open another cold one. The reason I thought of this thread is that I have been reading Bar Man's Blog, 1000 Bars. Bar Man is on a journey that started at the beginning of the year. He set a goal of having a drink in 1000 different bars for the year. Here he is having a Sapphire Bombay martini up with a twist at Carmine’s at 140 Beekman Street just off the South Street Seaport area of New York City:



He very often has beers at his stops and appears to have a real liking for Guinness. You can read his blog at Bar Man but I warn you, it is addictive. I just may have to invite him to join me and have one of his drinks at O'Malley's Pub here in Raleigh.

He is still going strong. The most recent update to his blog (as of Sunday, August 7) says, "A great day and I hit six bars for a total of 719 for the year and leaving 281 for the year." Looking at his daily drink selections, I don't think my liver could keep up with him.
