Re: Brenton Rutter

Many thanks amigo and all

Mail received

Finally got to speak to Brenton, He told me he didn't want any phone calls, visitors, or text messages for the next three day because he didnt know how he is going to react with the Chemo talking on the phone, I have mixed thoughts and emotions about that. He is now entering his battening down the hatchs mode. Steelly himself and his mind for whats coming, preparing himself for battle. We prayed he and his step brothers would not have to go to Iraq, Joel went and came back thank god. Brenton is still a marine, Iraq has come to him, its time to kick as..

Now comes the chemical warfare, too bad its within his own body. He has his mind and its a marine mind now, his soul is a marine soul. In order to distroy the invaders he has to endour what the enemy does. The team at Dana Farbor and Bridgham and Womans Cancer Center has done this before, they have battled the enemy and won before, If I could only trade places.

We love you Brent, we're right here, all of us praying for you.

Roger

What you say good friend !!

Re: Brenton Rutter

Currently his kidney numbers are almost normal, blood cells, platelets, and other fluids are now being given, along with nausea medicine. Tough to eat anything now. Nurse and doctors tell us he,s right where hes suppose to be during this treatment. His mom and sister and girlfriend are with him. His older sister celebrated her birthday today with her husband and daughter, and a bump in the oven. Brenton appreciates all your prayers and love. Hang in there son, you are doing fantastic.

Roger

Good news my friend !!

God bless

Welcome Chris , oh yes and as you mention; Our thoughts and prayers continue!!!

I see there are gaps between entry's, its not my intention to not keep you updated to his condition, its just hard to pick and choose whats relevant and meaningful and appropriate. He has had a rough go of it the last week. He has been having to deal with not being able to drink or eat since last Friday because of the affects of chemo. So all his fluids and nourishment's have been through the tubes. All his numbers are depressed, this of course was intentional to wipe out the cancer. The ability for the doctors to bring Brenton as close to the edge as possible by injecting toxins which are very powerful at the highest dosage possible, balancing with life saving medications for his health but leaving the cancer to die from the affects. His kidneys have seemed to fully recover, and the doctors have stopped giving Brent immune suppressants because they believe his Graft & Host Disease is doormat or has run its course. Those are 2 great bits of news, 2 major hurdles, now a recovery from chemo, and next a biopsy with results a few days later to see if the AML has been stopped. His mom and sister(s) will be with him today and tomorrow, he can barely talk because of the pain of mucusitus.

Re: Brenton Rutter

Brent's turned the corner and is getting better. He still can not swallow or drink very well, so most if not his nourishment is through the pic lines. His mouth is still painful, but slowly healing. Thursday we find out the definitive test results. His mom and sisters decorated his room with a Tiki-bar motif. Thank you again for all your prayers. His kidneys have completely recovered. By the way it has been two years since Brent had his stem cell transplant, congratulations son.

Roger

good luck hugs

Re: Brenton Rutter

Currently his numbers are all getting better, his nutrition is through tubes. He still can not eat but can sip/chew ice chips. Tomorrow we meet with his doctors to get an update on his condition. His bone marrow biopsy came back negative and his kidneys are operating normally. Thank you again for all your prayers, his laptop is off at the moment since he really doesn't have the strength to get online.
