Observed running times on my machine (2.2GHz dual core) and calculated bandwidth usage if left running 24/7 (total of download and upload) using the unit sizes above: dddt 1.5hr/unit, 300MB/month fa@h 9hr/unit, 65MB/month hcc 6.5hr/unit, 45MB/month hpf2 16*hr/unit, 200MB/month *This was typical, but the last pair I ran were both about 10hr; have they been made shorter recently? So none of them (with the possible exception of ac@h, which I haven't tested) use that much compared to typical ISP limits where I live, but if bandwidth costs are a concern select hcc and fa@h. Not trying to hijack the thread, but could you please clarify if those are the bandwidth figures you saw to feed the dual core, or if that's per core? Thanks!  |

A man for all seasons, v.v. the Matrix see footnotes, the bracketed numbers in headers/description being the reference, (10) particularly.
----------------------------------------ALL info is on a per-task basis, with some such as project storage having a large overage for all eventualities to cover outlier jobs that grow really big. PS: Hijackers are shot from the hip ;>)

The matrix had a set of 5 columns added to incorporate some repair/reliability information, as was the Reliability FAQ updated to include a table to easily read what's needed to get into the <0.2% error group... crunching error free and having results returned within 48 hours (think that might be harder for those that have clients attached to many projects).
----------------------------------------Think to add a footnote on the priority column. Those with 10 automatically get the repair deadline, so whilst the standard deadline is 20 days for instance, with priority 10, the actual assigned deadline will be that as were it a repair... given 8 days.

hmmm, well the top-boss had it installed on his device to proof, as IBM could not rely on an outside say-so [10,000+ windows 7 devices contributing already + 1 CA]... then it went silent

In anticipation the matrix was expanded to show the science versions for 32 and 64 bit. Also comment was added v.v. W2K and Domain Controllers, latter which can run with BOINC v 5.10.45. An update for DC enabled client is not expected anytime soon (6.14, maybe).
