If a member is registering a second (or higher) computer, it is very easy to miss the box to check that says that they are already a member. Ideally, the devices would be tied to the same membername. Unfortunately many can get lost if you don't do that, because it forces you to devise a new member name.

Hello Rotondo,
With a UD registration it is very easy to accidently register twice. The new member enters one member name when they register on our website and then when they download the software another registration screen (UD registration) pops up which may be automatically populated with their Windows username. If they do not catch this and change it to the same member name that they entered on the World Community Grid website, a new member name is created. It is this second member name that is associated with the software on their computer and which will reflect their World Community Grid statistics. Have them check and see if the member name that is on their World Community Grid software running on their computer is the same member name that is on the team. It probably is not. They will need to sign on to the website under the member name reflected on their computer software and join "Jessica's Team". http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=teams#121 Hope that helps. They can join (or retire/join) whichever team they want. We've got a whole team thread area for recruiting.

Hi Retsof,
I only mentioned Jessica's team, because that is the team that she said they were on. |
