Re: The Formula One Thread

And so say I. Lets have lots of teams and a constant uncertainty about who will actually reach the chequered flag first.

Re: The Formula One Thread

So it looks like it's all been settled and the big spenders have mostly got their way by, at least, delaying the inevitable. The result, perhaps one new team next year - Prodrive; hardly a revolution.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Are you all ready for an interesting weekend? This track has always favoured cars like the Ferraris and McLaren look to have come up a bit on this track so it could be a very different race from the preceding ones.
I'll have my lunch on my lap in front of the tele on Sunday.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Well who would have thought it a year ago - Brawn and Red Bull fighting it out and McLaren failing to get into the second qualie round.

I really expected Massa to show his stuff on this one of his favourite tracks. Still, anything can still happen tomorrow.

From this it looks as if Vettal is a bit lighter than Button
and Hamilton very much heavier so will go long into the race before needing to stop .....

Re: The Formula One Thread

In past years they often talked of Button's smooth driving skill even though he had a lousy car to drive. Now it really shows in that the so called inferior tyre never seems a real problem for him and this is part of the edge he seems to have at the moment.
Naturally, and thank goodness, the others are catching up but it's interesting to see that all the wealth of Ferrari and McLaren doesn't automatically make it easy.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Yes, I remember all those years when I just had to watch a red car running on its own in front and hoping for the odd scrap down the grid.
