Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Evening all

Snow showers promised for tomorrow, even down here. Don't think there'll be much skiing going on.

All these mod cons Den; what's wrong with the copper in the scullery and the mangle outside the back door?

Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Happens every year: work is freezing because they switch the heating off and it takes days to get the place warmed up again. It's only the plummeting temperatures that make going outside colder.

At least Wednesday felt like Monday biggrin

The bungalow bath I used as a kid is long gorn .
The copper in the scullery smile
and the Mangle are long gone also

I was often on Mangle duty.
all those things are now wonders & worth (sorry sold ) for many times what they cost when in current use

Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Who was leaning on a lamp post on the corner of the street in case a certain little lady passed by?

Oh, yes - and who was his boss?

and who waited underneath the lamplight?

and who was the dame who waited for the lights to go on again?

and who was the lady with the lamp?
