Re: Waiting for Pending Results

I have another 69 results pending validation, plus lots more crunching away.

Yea, I checked it out for a while, and I found my day-to-day results varried more by when they were validated, than actual results, points or runtime returned in a day.

Doesn't really matter, they all get counted sooner or later, and they all help towards finding cures.

I am thinking of using it as a test for burnin of new systems, as if a week worth a results, working on various projects all come back valid, then probally the Processor, Memory and Motherboard are in good shape. If it is returning invalid results, then I should deal with it, before I deploy the system. Anyone have experience doing this?

That is how I always tested systems. Granted it was with UD, but that is how I ended up with over 200 devices.

LOL, I added a dual core today (2x1.83Ghz and 2GB RAM), we'll see how it works during burnin.
After the initial install of BOINC, it estimated 4.8 hours per unit downloaded.

biggrin Re: Team Challenge: Update

Looks like we may pull this out. When I wake up, the stats for today will tell us if the new systems just added will bring us over the top.

applause Month 5 Report: Moving the Team Challenge bar UP a notch!

We won First Place in all of the races we have completed, except one.

And, if you look at it, we are moving the bar up just the right way. If we win by too much its not a race. But if our one weak spot is that we dont directly win at is time and then win by a wide margin in the others races, then I dont see the loss as much as it gains. hehe hehe hehe.

Much of the work that cargod has done, has lead to filling the hole when it comes to runtime and currently reigns as CPU god in my book biggrin

Zim has made a mark here so fast that if you look at the pie, you will see why we are all eating cake, while our competition eats our dust. This is good to see, as Adyweb (aka Courineslegs) has unfortunately left the DC biz crying With Zim's involvement though, we have leveled and have started a new clime, past the top 1% mark for WCG.
