Automatic Language Identification :)

There is a way to tell what country someone is located in by their IP. I think it would be a great idea to have a language support system for the World Community Grid's website that analyzed someone's IP and automatically directed them to the common language of their country such as: Mexico: Spanish US: English ext...

Sound like a good idea?

Yes you can see from which country someone is by there ip.
But they should first translate the website.
I think there are a lot of volunteers who would like to help. But it also takes up a lot of time of the wcgrid staff. I hope they will translate the pagess in the future

While that's possible, it's not the way to do it.

Each web request includes an Accept-Language header, which contains a list of prefered languages. You can usually set this in your browser options.

For example, fr-CA; fr; en-CA; en will try French Canadian, followed by French, Canadian English and English, in that order.
