Right, but looking at BOINC's messages, you can easily miss the fact that it's the servers that are down and think you've got a problem/corrupt file on your end and maybe abort the WU when you shouldn't.

Right, but looking at BOINC's messages, you can easily miss the fact that it's the servers that are down and think you've got a problem/corrupt file on your end and maybe abort the WU when you shouldn't. OK, I understand. The error should maybe be worded differently. Maybe the line should read: 2/5/2007 5:19:47 PM|World Community Grid|[error] Error on file upload: can't open file DUE TO SYSTEM OUTAGE or something like that. Yes? -Brink |
