Re: Show Your Processor Score

i dont think your going to get any where near a statistically correct answer with the obvious bias between the diffrent types of proceesser, let alone from those people who actually use their computers power ,musicians/ animaters/artists and have accordingly set the grid as a 2ndry priority
so far i think youve proved smaller/slower chips better than big more powerful chips .Yet with only 2 american chip manufacterers in the market i sense a lack of oppertunity to do better. The fact that the stats rely on the need to perform within the confines of the wcg though a good idea has in fact been undermined by the ineficiences of the point scoring system and has given a lot of people the wrong idea.Till admin update the point scoring method i dont think trhe results will help. ps youve gueesed ive got a pentium 4 3gig n its set to low priority 4 the wcg though it runs 24/7

188 (varies)

Re: Show Your Processor Score

Maybe my score is the lowest out. The processor is 42, Pentium III & 450MHz. Jealous?

Model......................AMD 64 3200+ Venice 90nm socket 939 2.0 GHz 512Mb memory
OverClock...............Yes 2.45 GHz, 2.5 GHz, was a bit unstable and aborted a workunit. 2.7 GHz was unacceptable to the system
Other......................Air Cooling + Chassis fan, CPU Temp 44-45 degrees C, 26 other UDMonitor devices
Motherboard............ASUS A8V-MX

CPU temp only rose about 3 degrees C with this degree of overclocking.

OPN (Ordering Part Number) ADA3200DAA4BW for this AMD64 3200+. There are usually several choices available for each model number. It can be obtained with the Computer Brain ID program from http://cbid.amdclub.ru Download cbid80b.zip from http://majorgeeks.com for best results. After you find your OPN, go to http://amdcompare.com to find the meaning of the codes. It will tell you the Manufacturing tech (CMOS), cpu speed, L2 Cache, socket, max cpu temp, voltage, wattage, cpu step (detailed model release)

For example, an AMD64 3400+ comes in 2.0GHz, 2.2GHz and 2.4GHz speeds.

Another faster AMD computer with an even better ASUS motherboard is in the shop awaiting warranty replacement of a graphics card.
