Hi garycgreen,
I thought that it might be significant that when you increased the available virtual memory, you started getting work units. You have not given us any figures about VM size or (from Task Manager) VM usage. But if you are running a program with a memory leak, it might not take too long before the available VM shrank below the project minimum.

All this is just guessing, but you did something that got you some work units and playing with the VM was the only thing that seemed likely to me.

The BOINC client is 5.4.11.



I'm having trouble pasting the Message tab info into this forum posting, but scheduler requests are being sent at startup to all four projects. WCG did start sending me work again today, received about five downloads.

I changed the interval to 6 hours. SETI work segments have continued uninterrupted for months, received 6 or 7 today. Rosetta has not sent any work for a few months now.

I think I can use Snagit to pull the info requested into this forum...will try tomorrow....

Sorry, the paging file is 1536 MB right now, maximum allowed size of 3072.

There's 1 Gig of memory in the machine and about 300MB is free. There is usually more memory free than right at this moment, more like 425.

The page file usage in task manager shows 1.03 GB.

To copy the messages, just go to the messages tab and click the "copy all messages" button. Then paste them into your post.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

This looks like it could be a debt issue. BOINC only d/l'ed a WCG unit after Seti errored out and couldn't d/l any work for 1 minute. Then the projects ran round-robin until WCG finished and only Seti requested work.

Try d/l'ing BoincDV and posting the results here so we can see if it is a debt issue, please.

Oh, sorry about that. d/l is just short for download. I've been using it for years on Usenet and just typed it without even thinking.

Yes, the Long Term Debt is the reason you are not getting any work other than Seti. I want you to try something. Go to the Seti website and change your preference for that project to 1 on the Resource setting. Then click Update on Seti in Boinc Manager and make sure it changes the Resource to 1. Let Boinc run for about 24 hours, it will still be all Seti (unless Seti errors out like before) and then post the values from BoincDV again. I want to see how much time time the other projects can recover in 24 hours with a ratio of 100 (them) to 1 (Seti).

I've never seen Long Term Debts in the millions before, and would like to see how much they get back in 1 day.
