Re: Unable to recieve data from server

Hi, BogdanEraser.

Just because your proxy is working properly doesn't mean that it will work properly with BOINC.

Please will you put the following into your cc_config.xml file:

<cc_config>
<log_flags>
<file_xfer_debug>1</file_xfer_debug>
<http_debug>1</http_debug>
<http_xfer_debug>1</http_xfer_debug>
<proxy_debug>1</proxy_debug>
</log_flags>
<options>
<client_version_check_url>http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/download.ph...ent_version_check_url>
<client_download_url>http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/download.php</client_download_url>
<network_test_url>http://www.ibm.com/</network_test_url>
<start_delay>120</start_delay>
</options>
</cc_config>

Re: Unable to recieve data from server

You have to restart BOINC or do the Advanced Menu > Read Config File to get the extra log flags to take effect.

hmm...
"Reading preferences override file" - reading Config File to get the extra log flags to take effect is done?
"Master file download succeeded" - that means that BIONC have succesfully connected to WCG servers?
But : "Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down." - i can not understand get this string..
crying I cant believe that you doesn't know what to do!!

Re: Unable to recieve data from server

BogdanEraser, this is because SETI doesn't use secure communications with your client. Your proxy is having problems with World Community Grid's SSL communications.

I need you to follow the troubleshooting steps I explained earlier. I will break it down step by step for you.

1. Make sure you have edited the cc_config.xml file correctly.
2. Go to the advanced view.
3. Click Advanced -> Read config file
4. Go to the Projects tab.
5. Select World Community Grid and click Update.

Finally, check the messages again.

WCG is using SSL, and SSL is normally using port-443...
