Having done the LOTW this past week, I am wondering how everyone uploads their projects in the gallery. When I make my choices for LOTW, I go to the drop down box of categories to look at entries. I found that many of the cards and other projects are not in their specific category, so if I missed your project I apologize.
When uploading cards, I always make sure the drop down box is marked cards & tags. Then, I post in the album I created for them.
And the same for LOs and other categories. LOs go into scrapbooking and then into the LO album I created. This way your project does not get overlooked in their category.
How do you upload and submit??
I choose the category scrapbooking, cards, art journal etc depending on what I am uploading. I leave the album blank. Whenever I have tried to enter anything in the album line it gives me an error. I thought the category was sufficient enough.

I post my cards and layouts by their respective categories (cards/layouts) as you do. I do create albums for my layouts. Example: I have Disney albums by years, Europe layouts by year, Christmas, holidays, family, each grandchild etc. so I can find my layouts by theme easier.

I do it the same way as you Vicki! I have seen that others may not know about the categories so it is a good reminder to mention it. Sometimes wrong projects are put in wrong categories too! I'm not sure if that can be left blank or not.

I do the same... Select categories but learned something new today. Didn't know you could create albums. I do scrapbooking 99 percent of the time so I never really choose other categories. Going to look into the album feature.

I do the same, and under Techniques, I choose Digital! It used to be it's own category, but when they redid the gallery, it was placed under Techniques. Not sure people who are doing the LOTW all know this, but it's the easiest way to find the digi layouts.

Yes, thanks for this, Laura. I totally forgot the digital layouts are found under technique.Art_Teacher wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 7:14 pmVickiR wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 5:42 pmHaving done the LOTW this past week, I am wondering how everyone uploads their projects in the gallery. The albums are a personal choice for sure. I like to keep albums for different events. Birthday greetings, photos, Turkey Trots, etc. all have their own albums. Then when I'm in my gallery, I can go to the drop down box and go directly to what I want.
The albums are a personal choice for me. I just like to keep everything in separate albums.
I do the category but not the album. I’ll have to look into the album feature!

Oh ok now I understand. I wonder why I can’t use that feature. Oh well, I would only have 2 albums these days - kids or grandkids ha ha

i choose scrapbooking for the category because that's all i ever do basically
and i tag the majority with 8.5x11 because that can be searched
i had no idea what albums meant, so i've always just ignored it lol

You should be able to create albums when uploading. Where it says album, under the public, private, reveal date, you can type in and create an album name.Nana01 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 10:41 pmOh ok now I understand. I have done it all like that but have not ever sorted into a specific album. Is that something that is required??

I do the same except I do have a separate album for photos so they aren't mixed in with my layouts.

I do mostly cards so I enter the Card / Tag category. I don't use the Album category.
