I found the other thread where we had posted images. Putting it here and hoping I get to it.
Here's my ad from a 1948 Saturday Evening Post.
Mary Love is all around you.
I was born towards the end of the 1940's but I found this ad kind of funny but mostly disturbing. Of course, we know how I love a good glass of wine at the end of the day so this might not be all that different. But it would be nice to find a good bottle of wine for $1.00. LOL!!!
Oh my gosh, it was so hard to pick just one!!! Here's my inspiration (layout to come):

I loved this one!!!
Here’s my ad! I chose a Ford Mustang ad from the 1980s (born in ‘89) - I took so much inspiration from the ad, dark blue background, geometric design (bc the car is all angles), all caps block white letters and even my photo story! My crazy kiddo reading an Auto Trader on the toilet HAHA
And my layout

Here is my ad and page about my in-laws, immigrated here in 1962. Worked so hard to provide for their family. Watched my boys when they were babies so I didn't have to put them in daycare. We didn't always see eye to eye (they were very old country) but I respected and loved them deeply.

Here is the Ad I posted, I just love vintage kitchen items, and we had these actual Cornflower Corningwear casseroles growing up. This is an ad for a kids' playset in the same pattern. I drew inspiration with the blue and white colors and the florals.

Here is the 1960 ad . . .
Here is my page. The shape of the people is what inspired me.

So I ended up not using the yellow or making it a Mexican theme, but I found the ad generally creepy so I used it for a Halloween layout using a grid pattern and green/orange/black colors. I'd like to give credit to Shannon Blinn, whose layout I had saved from a FB page earlier this year and scraplifted. I'm not sure if she's a member here, but I hate not to give credit.
In LOVE with all those photos! Great use of the colors! Thanks for taking part!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
Perfect! Your layout is so much fun! Thanks for participating!Donna_Coughlin wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 1:35 pmI was born in the 50's so I chose this ad. Kool-Aid, cracks me up, I actually have a pitcher of the Kool-Aid man.
Of course I had to do a Halloween layout and was inspired by the colors first of all. I found this piece of Carta Bella paper that reminded of the the kids in the Ad - looks like the were trick or treating around the neighborhood. I added a pumpkin brad reminded of the Kool Aid guy above (kind of looks like a pumpkin.)

The ad I used...because it reminded me of the groovy 60s.
I was inspired by the color of this ad.
