THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING PART IN THIS CHALLENGE! I JUST LOVED SEEING ALL THOSE VINTAGE ADS, AND THE WAY EACH OF YOU DREW INSPIRATION FROM THEM WAS FANTASTIC! THE RANDOMLY CHOSEN WINNER IS . . . NANA01!
Well, hello there!
For this challenge, we are going to be creating a layout that draws inspiration from a vintage ad! To participate, you must first search the internet to find an ad from the DECADE in which you were born. To get mine, I simply went to Google Images and searched on "1960s magazine ads". Find one you really like, one that speaks to you. Once you have your ad, start creating! All you need to do is draw inspiration from something in your ad. It could be the phrase, the colors, etc. Easy peasy, right?
One randomly chosen winner will receive the Birthday Bundle Prize Pack generously provided by Photoplay!
Here is my ad:
And here is one of my older layouts the most definitely could have been inspired by that ad:
RULES
1. One entry per participant.
2. Challenge is open to paper and digital scrappers, layouts/cards/journals.
3. Post both your ad and your creation to this thread.
4. NO COMBINING with any other NSD or MB Challenges EXCEPT the 25 Item Challenge.
5. Must be a new creation!
6. Entries must be posted to this thread by Monday, May 15 at 11:59 PM, EST.
7. You MUST have fun!

OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
here is my add from the year I was born ! i love this, it was fun looking at some of the ads.

Great challenge! This is the ad that I picked from 1972, I think I can make this work!

This is fun! Thanks for the stroll down memory lane!
I've had this picked and in my gallery. The colors work with the Cinco de Mayo theme that been going on... WIll be back with my layout later.
So I ended up not using the yellow or making it a Mexican theme, but I found the ad generally creepy so I used it for a Halloween layout using a grid pattern and green/orange/black colors. I'd like to give credit to Shannon Blinn, whose layout I had saved from a FB page earlier this year and scraplifted. I'm not sure if she's a member here, but I hate not to give credit.

I know I'm late to the party, but I'm playing fair so this is what I chose. Now to see what we are doing!
What a fun ad! And, Sandusky, Ohio is in my little corner of the world! Neat!

This is an ad from the 80's.... I think I can make it work somehow?

I was born in the 50's so I chose this ad. Kool-Aid, cracks me up, I actually have a pitcher of the Kool-Aid man.
Of course I had to do a Halloween layout and was inspired by the colors first of all. I found this piece of Carta Bella paper that reminded of the the kids in the Ad - looks like the were trick or treating around the neighborhood. I added a pumpkin brad reminded of the Kool Aid guy above (kind of looks like a pumpkin.)

I found this one...and cracked up laughing! Is that really how they sold VHS and Beta players back then? Interesting sales pitch!
This is the ad I chose -
I used the blue background as inspiration for this page with my irresistible, huggable girls
