Pet Challenge – July 2014
I told you girls – or rather hinted – that this one would be a little more difficult. . . and it is. . . sorta.
All the new Summer TV shows are on, and most are crime dramas – at least they are where I live. SO. . .
Who gets into more mischief than our animals/pets/friends????
So you are thinking “Oh, I have a photo of my dog chewing up that shoe!” - I don’t care. Well I DO care, but that’s not the challenge, that would be TOO TOO easy. I want you to arrest him/her or whatever your pet is, and get a stamp pad out or a marker and make a paw print on your page. Yep.
Now if you don’t have a pet that you can do this to (be it that you don’t own one, or you’ll lose and eye or arm if you try) – there’s a plan “B”. Just download clipart of your featured pet/animal's tracks and use that. But I really want you pet owners to give the paw print a whirl. Just think what it will mean to have it years in the future!
And of course, here’s a sketch for this month . . You do not have to use it, it’s there for inspiration!
Can’t wait to see these criminals. . . .
Awesome twist, Sher! But you may be right about losing an eye or something with our cat!! Our cat's usually very mild mannered, and my DS can handle him like a ragdoll. But DH's 14 yo DGS was here the other day and came in with bleeding scratches on his leg. All I could say was, "what did you do to him!?" I had to get onto that boy! Our poor cat was so jumpy! But, he's back to normal now that DGS is gone, lol.

Given that Dandy willing suffered through making a paw print ornament at Christmas time, I think this one is do-able. I had pulled some other pictures in preparation for something out of the ordinary and have a stack of my brother and his snake that are just going to have to wait!

I haven't loaded a page on here yet of our beagle...and I think that circle on the sketch would be such an awesome place for a paw print....plus, I can get my 14-year old to do the dirty work (and he'd have fun doing it too)...so I will definitely be putting something together for this! Great challenge!
LOL! Did you come up with this challenge for Penny? She hasn't done it since January...but you KNOW what I"m talking about right? All the comforters I went thru when we first got her.

Haven't tried with either one of our cats. I will give it a go with one of them sometime this month and see what happens!

Awesome challenge! I have done this on cards for me hubby so I think I can get Zoe but no way Sophie is going to let me touch her front paws like that.
OK, it's now known as the AKA as Penny Challenge. LOL I DO remember that!!! LOL!!!blbabe1234 wrote:LOL! Did you come up with this challenge for Penny? She hasn't done it since January...but you KNOW what I"m talking about right? All the comforters I went thru when we first got her.
Of course she'll mind. But. . . you are the arresting officer!! LOLDeanna13 wrote:This sounds FUN! Wonder if our cat will mind?!? LOL
By the way ladies. . . . the layout does not have to be about the "criminal act" - someone asked me that - No, it can be any type of pet layout you choose.
I looked hard to find a a sketch that gave you freedom for photos but had a nice showcase for the pawprint or "tracks" of your zoo animal, or stuffed animal.blbabe1234 wrote:My thoughts exactly!andysmom wrote:I haven't loaded a page on here yet of our beagle...and I think that circle on the sketch would be such an awesome place for a paw print....plus, I can get my 14-year old to do the dirty work (and he'd have fun doing it too)...so I will definitely be putting something together for this! Lol! My dog's paw print will take up the whole page!
can the picture be of " the criminal act" with the journaling, theme be of "the arrest"?

Great challenge! I have done paw prints on a letter/card to hil when she was away at college.... but I haven't done that on a scrap page ! Great idea! HA my biggest CRIMINAL probably won't let me hold her down to do this....good thing I have the other girls who are so laid back they will let you do anything!
Susan
