Ever heard of a smash book? Plan on doing one or have ya already? I think they're pretty sweet. Here's a video explaining what it's all about:

I believe we're sold out, but we'll have more on order
LOL! I didn't realize there was a name for them! Z (my 7 y/o) has SEVERAL SMASH books! She has one just for stickers, another for her "inventions", a dream SMASH book and her "I'm thankful for.." one! We use everything from MEMO books to unused address books (that have tabs).
Trish ~ It's all fun and games until somebody loses an EYELET!
I just discovered them. I am making one up with all the mini book scraplift ideas I come up with. Then all the ideas are in one spot
Some are just pictures, some are the real idea I made up. Really fun

What a great way to keep those ideas handy. I've so many ideas, I just jot them down on a piece of a paper. They are all over the house! LOL. Gotta get me one of these!

I just showed the video to my daughter and she thinks they are cool! and so do I. I will definitely have to get a couple
Ahhh! Just getting back to what scrapping USED to be...in a TODAY kinda way!
I *think* they were around $12.95- give or take a few $$.CherryTat wrote:How much are Smash Books, anyone know?
I got the red one and the blue one for my oldest dd's graduation. They are great. I personally wouldn't use them because I like scrapping with 12x12 paper, but the kids love them. I pre-ordered more through my lss and my 11 yr old can't wait till they come in.

I showed the video to my daughter who is 12, I asked her if she would like one, I would buy it for her, without a pause she says to me "Mom, I can make one cheaper lets just go to walmart and get a note pad"
SO we went off to Walmart, and nothing there was quite what we wanted (I decided I wanted one too!) SO I remembered years ago I had done an altered book (lost it in my many moves) and explained we can go to the used book store and do the same thing, paint int he book etc.... We joined a Yahoo altered book site to get ideas.
Mary is going to town, adding all kinds of stuff and carefully ripping out her pages. I found a nice book with sewn biding and it made it real easy to get the pages out, thats what Mary wants next time. She brought it to school to have her friends sign it, they loved it and want one to!
Its got gum wrappers, pictures, clothes from magazines, ticket stubs, shes really enjoying it! Me too! I will definately most mine when I'm finished (a few pages anyway) and hers.

Exactly! I'm thinking they would be a good way to start a kidlet out as a beginner scrapper.
Both my dd's love theirs. My oldest got 2 for graduation with all the neat things to go with them. She has already filled one half up. My youngest dd is waiting to use hers at camp...although I saw her with it yesterday. I don't think she's going to be able to wait
