Flowers on friday #5....4/2
This week we are doing crepe paper flowers. You will need a circle of cardstock....mine is a 2 inch piece, yours needs to be the size of the flower you want. You will need crepe paper( I use white) for a 2 inch circle you need a 24 inch piece of crepe paper. A liquid adhesive, and either glimmer mist, smooch spritz or an in pad.
Image

The first step is to take your piece of crepe paper and tie a knot in one end.
Image

then trim your excess of the end.
Image

Next, cover your circle in liquid adhesive. It does not need to be a lot, or oversaturated. It just needs to be entirely covered.
Image

place your knot in the center of your circle and start twisting your crepe paper around your knot, gently pressing it in to your glue as you go.
Image Image

keep going until you have covered your entire circle. You may need to add a little extra adhesive at the end of your crepe paper, to adhere it down.

Image This is what it looks like when it is done. I then sprayed mine with glimmer mist

Image and smooch spray was then added

Image. If you do not have glimmer mist or smooch spray, you could in it instead. Just place the ink pad lightly on top of your flower.

I then added some little gems to the center of mine. Image Before adhering to my your page, but after it is dry, you can then trim away an excess cardstcok you have showing.

Here is my layout using four of these. I just freehanded some leaves to add to them.
Image

PS> I would use a light colored cardstock circle, as the color may tend to bleed with the liquid adhesive...I only used black to try and make it easier for you to see.

Wow... you really came up with a good one this Friday. The close-ups & instructions are great. Love how just a little white peeks through on the finished flower. This is a lovely LO using these flowers!
