I don't know what I'd call it, but it would serve French toast all day, every day. And that's all. :-D

Re: Question of the day 3/19
La Vita Bella (life is beautiful).. My hubby would be the chef! It would be in one of the old houses here in my little town either on the river or on the bayou in the center of town. It would only be open for special occasions and for parties of ten or less. You would have a choice of three selections and it would be all inclusive from the appetizers served on the veranda to the cigars and port or brandy after dinner served in the Victorian drawing room The crystal would glisten, the china gleam and the table lines crisp and vintage. And the food...that is what would make life beautiful that night! Now, if we could just win the lottery!

I would probably own a bakery with deli and serve sandwiches and salads (maybe) to go with my delectable desserts. Not sure what I would call it though.

I would name Mone't's Kitchen because that my middle name and I would serve southern style soul food with a twist along with some of my very own personal favorites. I love to try new things so at least once a week it would be a new dish that had nothing to do with soul food.

There is one called Rise & Shine in Arlington, Texas and they serve breakfast.

As for me: A Scottish pub with lots of Single Malt and wonderful salmon dishes, fish & chips and other traditional Scottish foods....I would probably just keep our Scottish business name of Highland Moon....it would just be an extension of our kilt shop.

Mine would be called the "Finishing Touch" and it would serve only desserts. Nothing better than a decadent piece of cake or luscious piece of pie or maybe a handful of few delectable cookies and a nice cup pf coffee to complete an evening.

Kalahari Fried Chicken --
Fried Chicken with a crispy crust of breading (sorghum-wheat flour and corn-starch base with some typical S. African spices) with a side of mongongo fruit & nut salad
RESERVATION for one, please! That sounds DIVINE.

MLee wrote:The Neighborhood Mill and it would be in a mill -I already have it picked out I just need to have money and purchase it!! LOL!

I would serve homemade breads of all kinds, breakfasts are a must with REAL coffee - no blends - and then healthy but delicious sandwiches for lunches and wonderful desserts that are semi-healthy, or at least not too bad for you, as well.

There used to be a wonderful place in LR called Delicious Temptations that served this type of food and they did a fantastic business. The owner retired and now there is no one to fill this niche. I miss them terribly!
That sounds cool - I'd never heard of a restaurant in a mill before but last fall when we went to S. Carolina for a wedding, the reception was in a mill restaurant!

Rising Moon Cafe

It would be a souped up diner with a great big neon sign and we would be open late serving high quality diner food... best coffee in town would be only one of our kudos... although I do have a sister that owns a summer vacation cafe - Frye's Leap Cafe (On Frye Island Maine) I guess I am closer than most to owning my own place...:-D

No kidding, you have this all thought out!

I'd like to have a cake baking business, like Duff (Ace of Cakes). But since I bake cakes now and they take so long to decorate and I have little to zero patience, I'd need a staff immediately! No name for the business.
Have a great day/evening!
