Whenever I attempt to update ( send the completed WUs ) on this machine I get this back ...
Message from server: Incomplete request received. See below ( a small snippet of over eight pages worth of communications between mt machine and the server... ) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It has been happening since there were three completed WUs. It is running 2 WUs now and I have 5 left in the queue. I'd hate to complete all of these WUs and not be able to upload them. That'd be a total of 14. So can anyone help me out here. If I have to I'll reset and throw these away. I'd rather not, but if that is what I'm going to have to do, ultimately, I'd rather do it now and waste 7+ WUs worth of crunching instead of 14. Thanks in advance, Scott ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 11/20/2006 10:31:44 AM|World Community Grid|Reason: To report completed tasks 11/20/2006 10:31:44 AM|World Community Grid|Requesting 474995 seconds of new work, and reporting 7 completed tasks 11/20/2006 10:31:54 AM|World Community Grid|Scheduler request succeeded 11/20/2006 10:31:54 AM|World Community Grid|Message from server: Incomplete request received. 11/20/2006 10:36:59 AM|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi 11/20/2006 10:36:59 AM|World Community Grid|Reason: To report completed tasks 11/20/2006 10:36:59 AM|World Community Grid|Requesting 475822 seconds of new work, and reporting 7 completed tasks 11/20/2006 10:37:09 AM|World Community Grid|Scheduler request succeeded 11/20/2006 10:37:09 AM|World Community Grid|Message from server: Incomplete request received. 11/20/2006 10:40:39 AM|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi 11/20/2006 10:40:39 AM|World Community Grid|Reason: To report completed tasks 11/20/2006 10:40:39 AM|World Community Grid|Requesting 476233 seconds of new work, and reporting 7 completed tasks 11/20/2006 10:40:49 AM|World Community Grid|Scheduler request succeeded 11/20/2006 10:40:49 AM|World Community Grid|Message from server: Incomplete request received. |

Please have a look at sched_request_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml Thanks for responding. When I try to view it in Internet Explorer I get this... The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- End tag 'file_name' does not match the start tag 'stderr_txt'. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Program Files/BOINC/sched_request_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml'. Line 132, Position 20 D4_parameters.dat</file_name> -------------------^ What do I do now and what do I look for? |

please view this file in notepad
----------------------------------------It will allow you to view the whole file. To do this, please open Notepad, then go to "File" -> "Open". When the window opens you'll need to change file to to all files. This will allow you to select the file when you navigate to your BOINC folder. -Uplinger [Edit 1 times, last edit by uplinger at Nov 20, 2006 8:41:13 PM] |

Clearly the file isn't well formed. I think you should try deleting it. It is possible you will lose unreported (completed) work, but I'm not entirely sure.
----------------------------------------edit: Actually, since it looks very much as though the stderr output has broken the xml, it would help the grid techs if you copy the file here for us to see before you delete it. Thank you. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 20, 2006 8:44:43 PM] |

What's the worst that could happen? ;-)
If it won't fit, then try and find the bit with the error (lines 100-200). |

Maybe it is too big, then. Email it to me, perhaps?
