Problem unit ?

I have a 0% complete GenomeComparison at 5 hours exactly.

Re: Problem unit ?

same thing on device 203172 (1 hour 45 minutes) and 374211 (8 hours 50 minutes)

all have CPU use at 99%.

all 3 were set yesterday for GenomeComparison only and i am pretty sure they all returned units before.

just let me know if it's me, windows XP or the units smile

i intend to leave them until a tech gets a chance to respond. thanks!

Re: Problem unit ?

We're on it but it might take some time to fix.

I'm experiencing the same thing.

Re: Problem unit ?

This has happened to me 3 times as well.
Stopping and restarting WCG has no effect. Best thing to do would be to stop the process labelled wcgrid_fcg_ssearch... in Windows task manager and download another unit. The new one should show work progressing on the information page right away. If it's still blank, repeat the above instructions.

Since you have 3 machines encountering the same problem, please try to exit World Community Grid safely. Meaning right clicking the agent in your task bar and pressing exit. Then restart the agent and please respond with what you find.

Re: Problem unit ?

See my edited post above yours. Stopping and restarting doesn't rectify the problem.

Re: Problem unit ?

Device ID #473803 - 1 instance. Stopped process in task manager and downloaded another wu that proceeded normally.

Device ID #472987 - 2 instances in a row. Did not try to get another wu. Shut pc down.
