It's happening to me too. Virus-clean, page file ok, DEP N/A, HW ok. Didn't reinstall agent though, will try it later along with some memtests maybe

Im having the same problem running HDC on the UD agent. It seems to start downloading a w.u. then gets disconnected and starts over again and keeps doing this until it gives me a message saying theres something wrong with my computer and its not being useful. I am using only windows firewall, windows defender and symantec antivirus and have disabled everything and still have the problem.

Yeah my issues are with the UD agent as well. 5 BOINC clients are doing HDC just fine, but all the UD agents doing HDC (6 total) are having this problem (crunch for 5-30 seconds, then fail and get new work).

Please give us your device ID's so we can investigate this issue. 439537 is having this problem 439781 is also having this problem, though I have switched it to the Genome Project until the HDC issue is resolved I have 4 others but those IDs are not handy at the moment. |

Windows Security Updates? Yes, I just installed the latest ones for Win XP before hitting the same problem.

Don't think Windows updates are a factor. The pc that had the most trouble with blank wu's was a fresh install of XP Pro SP2 with NO security updates. Two of the others haven't been updated in a couple of months. The last two were fully updated 2 to 3 days before the problem started to occur.
