The first thing is to wait for Dr. Bonneau to validate our results. I expect that he will say something about this when he does.

What percentage of this project is totally done? What percentage of the project is typically completed per day, week, etc? Thanks! ![]() Hi IndysHat It's way to early to say anything about progress or how fast it will progress. Only UD agent runs HPF2 presently at the rate of 11,000 units per day re-starting Nov4 after a long break due bugs. See this link HPF2 Statistics to follow how we are doing. It's updated every 6 hours. We've done just 800 CPU years so far and the HPF1 did 27,000 years. I understand that it will be a long term project, but as per indication by Lawrence, we have to wait for the scientist validation of the first work to determine how often each protein needs calculation. The BOINC agent is expected to also be starting HPF2 soon, so work volumes will increase if all goes well with the initial batches. If u follow the "Projects" link on the bottom of this post, u can see the perspective compared to the other sciences computed. Bookmark that link too for easy access. Hit F5-Refresh for update, else u might be looking at an old cached copy :D ketch u laeter

isn't a few weeks into the project a bit early to ask "are we done yet"...?

isn't a few weeks into the project a bit early to ask "are we done yet"...? Now please do not get upset over the question. The person is new and it's perfectly a good question. What the question really is pointing to is that: the NEWS HPFP2 site page is way out of date and needs an update. If you have a friend, student, family member available maybe you could intice them to ask questions and update the news. A good project for a local High School class or such! I also would like to thank you for your works and please understand that many people do understand that discovery consumes very much hard work and time measured in months, years, and decades. I certainly do. Please keep it up since many are depending on you and others like you to the tone of 100's of thousands of WCG contributors. PaulT and the edit works !! PaulT, progress will be depending on the uptake by the members. See my post a few up...we done 800 CPU years now....HPF1 was 27000 CPU years. Soon as population indications are known, the projects graph can track it.
