How did everyone do this past round of nasty storms? Got caught in the middle of the second round in downtown st cloud. Thank god nothing dropped out of the sky except the heavy rain. Not sure how much we got but it was a bunch. Hope everyone is safe!

Not sure how much we got but iit was a bunch. Hope everyone is safe! I got about 1 3/10 inches(about3.29 cm). Had one nasty batch of wind, straight line. Only lost small branches. No hail thankfully. A friend near Richmond reported they lost a windshield to the hail as did a number of their neighbors. Cheers

Non Rotating Wall Cloud Picture from member IM TBONE
----------------------------------------This wall cloud went through at 9:15 last night. This is looking north from western Shakopee putting it right over the Minnesota River moving toward Savage and bottom edge of Bloomington. Got about 1.5 inches and 45-50 mile per hour wind. So not too bad here in Bloomington. Storm recap... http://www.crh.noaa.gov/news/display_cmsstory...toryid=55318&source=0 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 18, 2010 10:31:29 PM] |

Going to be down longer than planned. The psu I currently have did not have enough power connections for the new mobo. Should be in Thursday. Guess I didn't plan well enough. Hopefully no more surprises once it's together.

Finally up, eh, sort of. Having issues getting the mobo to use 800 FSB instead of 677. Running my 200 hrs break in. Hopefully get it figured out. Ran the Mac pro a little to keep up the numbers.

Going to be down for a few days hopefully. Upgrading the mobo on my linux 8 core box. Going from 677 to 800 Mhz board. Also going to install the big hulking heat sinks... http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/produc...uct_cpu_cooler_hr01x.html instead of going with liquid cooling. Hope they fit as these things are huge. From what I have read, they are supposed to be real good. Guess I'll find out this weekend. ![]() Well, you picked a hot enough weekend to give them a good workout. Cheers Sgt.Joe--thanks for the Kudos--How do you have a 8 core machine or is it hyperthreading--i have 6 crunchers running Ubuntu 10.4--they update every day--again thanks |

Have to decide if i want to get processors with 1600 fsb or pad mod these. Might get some other ones and use these on my original build since i have everything except a case. Then i will have three 8 core rigs total for crunching. ![]()
