The stupid arguments and pettiness in this thread

Anyways, having read the slandering and accusations I am glad I have switched my focus to folding@home. I don't give a toss what folks run or how.........if they are contributing to the project, who cares??? The work.........remember that??? That is supposed to be what matters!!! I'm out of here til the place gets admins that can behave and are unbiased. Admins, or advisors as they call themselves here have never quite been as transparent as they should. First year I was here the whole board seemed geared to accomodate one team, including the admins roles. Tut tut. And I believe with the only intention to rip this community apart. Well, you are the second person I know of which has left us over this mess. Hopefully you'll cool down as I did and reconsider, but I fully understand your decision. After all, there is a positive thing about all this mess, and that's that the larger teams seem to come towards each other, which is very cool to see. Can we please just put all of this to rest and dispel this negativity? One of the many reasons I left grid.org was because of the negativity on the forums, and I would hate to see the same happen here.

I'll say here what I said today in the XS forum:

Ive written the admins of WCG as to what happenned here and expect to hear back from them as to what they have done to deal with it. If they ignore it, I'll write everyone on the board of directors about this. Locking threads and deleting threads is a fast first step, but there is still some vile crap thats sitting out there for all to see. One of my teammates saved all the threads incase evidence of what happenned is needed. Bottom line is I came to crunch a good app and thats all that matters. I will not be disrespected by anyone while doing so. Competitive,yes I am. Crazed by the pusuit of points:No. One of the things that was missed in all this is that one of the best side effects of what we do is the good people one meets. As my friend from the DPC can tell you: If I ever get to Holland I'm sure there's a guy there with the nicname of Bubbles that would extend a hand in friendship. You see, there's this story about a pair of wooden shoes which most are unaware of........ |
